I am Associate Professor at the Department of Information Enginnering (DINFO) at the University of Florence, working in the fields of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Currently, the main focus of my research is on natural language processing, explainability, and neuro-symbolic learning, with applications in many fields, and especially in healthchare and the legal domain.

In April 2021 and October 2022 I obtained the National Scientific Qualification (ASN) as Full Professor in Information Engineering (09/H1) and Computer Science (01/B1), respectively.
